I liked that there were couples and intimate vibes here but they needed to smile otherwise seems like a good sushi spot with less ambiance but it was good vibes

Friendly service, delicious sushi and yakitori, and don't skip on the small but mighty cocktail menu. Inside is on the casual side with some cable TVs and fluorescent lighting, but this place is still great for lunch with friends or late night. Loved the green tea mochi.

I've been here a few times and really dont understand the hype. It's really just okay. Today's roll was kind of fishy. The other items just okay.

Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. I got the nine one one and volcano roll, along with spicy tuna hand roll and shishito peppers. The rolls are decent and the fish is good quality. I wish the nine one one did not have spicy mayo, but overall I was satisfied once finished with my meal. The hand roll surprisingly enough was EXCEPTIONAL. Very pleased. The peppers are also a must try. The service is very good! Such a great, friendly staff. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area craving good fish.

This is our favorite sushi spot in LB! We've come here faithfully for the past 3 years, it's THAT GOOD! We've never had a bad experience, everything is always so consistent, from the good food, the freshness of the fish, the service, even the pricing. We also love their happy hour menu! All the staff there is so friendly, it's genuinely always a pleasant dine in. They're also always so accommodating and put avocado on a side plate for me since my husband is allergic to it and I still want it with my sushi. The Miso Soup and Chicken Karaagee are our favorite appetizers. Our go to rolls are the Sunrise on Second Street, 911 roll, and the Lynn Roll. These never disappoint, trust me!

This was the first time we ordered from 39 Degrees. The rolls were just as described: fresh, delicious and plenty for the price. We ordered three different rolls to have some variety. All were wrapped in rice paper since I'm allergic to seaweed. We ordered: - Crunchy - Atlantic - ShroomShroom The taste of all three was excellent. None were soggy and you were able to distinguish what they were supposed to be. We also liked that someone actually cared about preparing them by putting partitions between each roll so to not mix flavors. Really loved that. Unfortunately, the sauces all tasted the same - eel sauce. Even though the description mentioned that some were supposed to be different. But it didn't really matter much. The reason for 4/5 stars Parking.... Or the lack thereof. It's a huge issue. There is almost none. We picked up around 4:30pm and it was impossible to find anything. Yes, we understand they are in the beginning stages, yet not being able to get to this deliciousness is a problem. The inside, while picking up, looked ok to me. Nothing special. But it was full with people. And that speaks volumes. It has a lot of good going on for itself!!! We will most likely be back.

Sushi was great and service was fantastic, despite it being a small and busy restaurant. We were seated within 15 min at prime time and our server was very attentive. I would definitely come back. Only complaint is that this is definitely a louder atmosphere, so if you're looking for something casual, this is the perfect place. Parking lot is available directly on the side of the restaurant (not sure if it's validated, since I parked on the street).

Sushi by 39 has fantastic and creative rolls and delightful sashimi specialties. We tried a variety of dishes, including the Sashimi Platter, LAPD (poke on crispy wonton skin), LB Roll with jalapeno on top, Jekyll and Hyde (albacore wrapped around spicy tuna), Spicy Edamame (freshly made), Cincinnati Roll (salmon on top), and a sweet ending with Mango Sticky Rice. The flavors were outstanding, and the freshness of the fish really stood out. Each dish was presented beautifully, especially the sashimi platter. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it an impressive dining experience. Their parking lot isn't huge, but there are enough spots. The service is fast and friendly. If you're unsure about what to order, don't hesitate to ask the server for recommendations--you might be surprised. The interior is cozy, with a cute Christmas tree, feels like dining at a friends house. I left with a full and happy stomach. Solid 5 stars--I can't wait to return and try more dishes!
